Katie Holmes Files For Emergency Custody Hearing in New York

It looks like Katie Holmes is takingIndependence Day quite literally.

Just 5 days after filing for divorce from husband Tom Cruise and
requesting sole custody of their daughter Suri, the actress isn't
wasting any time as she has reportedly filed for an emergency custody
and support hearing in New York.
RadarOnline.com has learned that the paperwork was filed by Katie's
attorney Allan Mayefsky and a hearing date has been set for July 17.
"Paperwork regarding Suri's custody was filed yesterday," a source
close to the situation confirms to RadarOnline.com.
Meanwhile, Tom has already lined up Dennis Wasser as his divorce
lawyer, the same one he used for his split from Nicole Kidman.

It has been rumored that Katie wants to get Suri away from the world
of Scientology, and it looks like she isn't planning on letting

Tom and Katie will reportedly both have to appear in court together on
